{"id":129199,"date":"2024-05-27T16:47:48","date_gmt":"2024-05-27T14:47:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.tamaritmotorcycles.com\/historia-de-gullwing\/"},"modified":"2024-05-28T10:49:49","modified_gmt":"2024-05-28T08:49:49","slug":"painting-and-design","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blog.tamaritmotorcycles.com\/it\/painting-and-design","title":{"rendered":"History of Gullwing"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h3 id=\"why-a-gullwing\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Why a Gullwing?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For our designer, Quique Berna,&nbsp;<strong>the most beautiful car in the history<\/strong>&nbsp;of motoring is the&nbsp;<strong>Mercedes &#8220;Gullwings&#8221;<\/strong>, no offense to anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the midst of the 2020 pandemic, it occurred to us to do something that we had not done so far, a motorcycle designed by us without criteria or opinions of the client. Something that would satisfy us and that people could order &#8220;in series&#8221;, the opposite of what we sell.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Quique gets down to work and designs a motorcycle inspired by the most proclaimed Mercedes car of the 50&#8217;s. As we always say, one of the most artisanal and beautiful things about our work is that when we face a bike, we face new problems to solve. On this bike, Quique set out to create&nbsp;<strong>the first monoshock<\/strong>&nbsp;we had ever made, plus he wanted it to lift hydraulically with a key&nbsp;<strong>just like the doors on the Mercedes Gullwing.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Some acquaintances of the Cafe Racer world made an explanatory video, with an interview with us about the design work of this bike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iCB0wLc-Kv8?si=oU1xCPjAd56052kI\" title=\"YouTube video player\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-8f761849 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:100%\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<h3 id=\"gullwing-and-gullwing-x\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">Gullwing and Gullwing X<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h1 id=\"the-different-versions\" class=\"wp-block-heading has-text-align-center\">The different versions<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you carry out a project of these characteristics, the budget is important with respect to the components. For this reason we have&nbsp;<strong>two versions,<\/strong>&nbsp;one called Gullwing and another more powerful one called Gullwing X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The main difference between the two bikes is&nbsp;<strong>the radiator in the chassis, the Kineo rims, a carburetor and a custom made front fairing.&nbsp;<\/strong>This difference seems small but it is a noticeable
