There are choices in life that most of the time are a coinflip. Two sides perfectly separated where someone sooner or later would have to take part and decide. If we talk about carbonated drinks, soccer teams or liquors, we can imagine two great entities that basically rule among them all on every survey thrown to the regular population, there’s not much of a difference if we talk about modern classic motorcycles.

In the end, there’s only two great modern classic motorcycle families that keep the ongoing pulse for which design is better since several decades. Harley Davidson or Triumph. Despite Harley genuinelly ruled for several years back then thanks to the allmighty american industry boost, the well-known motorcycle brand is experiencing a downhill due lack of adaptation to the new times, since people nowadays have the Harleys as elements trapped in the past, not only aesthetically speaking.

On the other hand, Triumph has managed to greatly improve their motorcycles thanks to this new passion for the modern classics, by finding the perfect balance between technology and style, these improvements led to the creation of a new range from scratch: The Bonneville that Triumph released at the beginning of the new century. No one denies the pressence and influence of the american brand for several decades, but it seems that they keep releasing and repeating the same models over the years with basically the same building and elements from many many years ago.

Nevertheless, Triumph knew how to innovate somehow all the structures of their modern classics motorcycles, by releasing two great families since the century started, placing themselves at the vanguard of devices, safety elements and shock absorbing systems.

Tamarit Motorcycles won’t get involved in a personal rating about the aesthetics of each bike since one man’s hell is another man’s heaven, but is able to bring out which elements are quite obvious on every modern classic motorcycle family.

A parallel metaphor that could we more or less punctuate is on the classic car ambit, on one side the classic american muscle-car and on the other side the car that could drive certain british secrent agent. Same like the ways to understand the world , the american and the british way, those have their own way of expression into the design of modern classic motorcycles.

Both are undoubtedly classic, but the Harley has a much more strong and buffed design, meanwhile, the Triumph bike seems more stylish and ellegant. Both motorcycles are probably the most customized bikes ever, and the kits and parts available for that two are closer to innumerable.

At the end of the day, according to his personality, the client would end up buying one bike or the other, but it’s true that sometimes we are meant to be placed on certain pre-set profiles. You only have to see who will ride either one and for what, Arnold and Silvester sure would take the Harley, but Paul and Brad would certainly ride a Triumph.
