Some of you could be familiar with Café Racer style from watching those classic bikes with stylized fiberglass works and fairings, and mainly designed for the road.

Thruxton R Café Racer Seat

Despite the parts range for the Triumph Thruxton R is vast and basically you can modify parts installed everywhere on the bike, one of the key parts when it comes to modify your bike is the seat (or cowl). A lot of people do prefer to get rid of the stock seat in order to replace it for custom parts more to the client’s likes. On the most powerful motorcycle from the Modern Classic range, the Thruxton 1200R, it’s very common to change the stock seat (single or double) for the “Mónaco” Thruxton R Café Racer seat, the cowl designed by Tamarit for this range of motorcycles. Moreover, this custom part is also valid for the Triumph Thruxton 1200, since this motorcycle has the same frame as his higher class counterpart.

The Thruxton Mónaco Seat is made of high quality fiberglass and the cushion is upholstered of nautic fabric. This fabric is waterproof and fireproof, for your comfort and safety. In order to provide a better service to the clients, Tamarit Motorcycles offers the chance of painting this part on the Triumph original colours which this bike is released: Crystal White, Silver Ice, Phantom Black, Matt Black, Competition Green or Diablo Red.

But we think about those who have a motorcycle previously modified, so we are including soon a paint option entirely custom, where the client is able to give us the code or reference of the new colour of the bike and then we paint the cowl (and rest of parts if needed on this colour as well) .

Triumph Thruxton R Café Racer Style

Triumph Thruxton and Café Racer style have been present on this workshop since the very beginning. The first part that was designed and manufactured was actually the Jarama café racer seat, the father of the Mónaco Tamarit Seat, which was designed to be installed on the old generation air cooled Thruxton, those that were manufactured until 2016. The shape of these cowls tries to be similar to the one of the fuel tanks, being the most noticeable characteristic the oval concavities of the fuel tank that were replied on the Triumph Thruxton R Café Racer seat Mónaco.

The Mónaco seat is the keystone for the modification of a Triumph Thruxton. All our modification projects that had as a donor bike a Triumph Thruxton 1200 or Triumph Thruxton 1200 R have been equipped with the Café Racer seat. You can check in our website the first projects ever made using this range, Babieca and Sombra, or the last projects that created a huge impact such as Julina or Dakota, where the Café Racer seat provides a great aesthetic boost on the motorycle overall appearance.
